Description

Creative Writing I (Grades 3–4) – "Story Explorers: Adventures Across Hidden Worlds"
This summer, young writers will step into the shoes of daring explorers, uncovering secret worlds hidden in everyday life and in their imaginations. In this adventure-themed creative writing course, students will practice seeing ordinary things with extraordinary eyes—transforming a backyard into a jungle, a classroom into a castle, or a rainy day into a portal to another dimension.

Each session will feature fun "quick writes" that invite students to build settings, characters, and action-packed scenes using sensory details.Through this course, students will expand their creative range while learning essential writing skills.

As a culminating project, students will craft a polished short story where readers journey into a world the students have created—one full of excitement, surprises, and vivid storytelling.

By the end of the course, students will:

  • Learn how to create immersive settings and dynamic characters

  • Strengthen paragraph development and story organization

  • Practice building imaginative scenes with rich sensory details

  • Complete a finished adventure story showcasing their creativity

Recommended for:
