INTRODUCTION TO SCRATCH FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE NEW TO SCRATCH CODING!
This beginner-friendly course introduces students to the world of programming through Scratch, a fun and intuitive visual coding platform developed by the MIT Media Lab. With its colorful, drag-and-drop code blocks, Scratch makes it easy for young learners to grasp the fundamentals of programming while having a blast!
Throughout the course, students will:
Learn the basics of object-oriented programming using stackable code blocks
Explore Scratch’s interface and master its core coding functions
Create interactive stories, games, animations, and music-based projects
Develop creative thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on coding challenges
Each session is built around engaging, project-based learning—your child might animate a character, design a mini video game, or bring a story to life. While the course builds technical skills, it also nurtures imagination and self-expression.
