Chess Advanced (Virtual)

Chess: Advanced Level - For Experienced and Competitive Young Players

This summer course is designed for students who already have strong chess fundamentals and are ready to push their skills to a higher, more competitive level. These students are familiar with all standard rules and tactics and are eager to refine their play, improve consistency, and deepen their strategic understanding.

Over the course of the program, students will:

• Refine opening repertoires and explore deeper opening theory
• Sharpen tactical awareness with complex patterns such as deflection, decoy, zwischenzug, and interference
• Improve calculation skills, planning 4–6 moves ahead with confidence
• Strengthen advanced checkmating techniques and master key endgame strategies (e.g., king and pawn endings, minor piece coordination)
• Develop advanced middlegame strategies, focusing on positional play, weak squares, and long-term planning

Each class will combine instructor-led demonstrations, advanced puzzle work, and supervised tournament-style games, giving students the opportunity to apply sophisticated concepts in real time with individualized feedback.
