Coding: Scratch Intermediate

In our Scratch Intermediate course, students take their coding and creativity to the next level. Building on their beginner skills, they’ll tackle more complex projects, explore advanced Scratch tools, and learn how to code with greater precision and creativity.

From creating multi-level games to building interactive stories with branching paths, students will push the limits of what’s possible in Scratch while strengthening their problem-solving and debugging skills. By the end, they’ll have a portfolio of polished, challenging, and share-worthy creations.

Students will learn to:

• Use advanced Scratch blocks, variables, and operators
• Incorporate broadcasts, messaging, and multiple backdrops for complex projects
• Create scoring systems, timers, and interactive menus
• Use cloning and lists to manage multiple characters and game elements
• Add custom sound effects and animations for a professional touch
• Debug and refine code for smoother performance
• Collaborate on group projects and share creations online
